Eschete, Escheit, v. Also: eschet(t, esshete, eshet; escheitt, esheit(t; eschaete, -ait, -att, escheat. [ME. eschete (Wyclif), OF. eschaeter.] tr. To take or confiscate as an escheat.(a) 1439 Edinb. B. Rec. I. 6.
