Forfalt, Forfault, p.p. and ppl. a. Also: forfaut, foirfawt; foirfalt; fore-, foir-, fourfault. [OF. forfait, p.p. of forfaire. Cf. the verb.] Forfeited, in various senses, as passive or active pple. or as adj.a (1) 1375 Barb. xiii. 499 (E).
