Intruse, -truise, v. [e.m.E. (? 1535), once, otherwise Sc., L. intūs-, ppl. stem of intūdere.]
1. trans. To thrust or push (a person) into an office, position, or dignity to which he has no claim or proper qualification.c1420 Wynt. v. 4592.
