Leme, v. Also: leyme, leim. [ME. lem(e (a 1300), leome(n, e.m.E. leam, f. Leme,n.: cf. ON. ljóma and also OE. ᵹeléomod having rays (of a comet).]
1. intr. To give or reflect (strong or brilliant) light, to shine, glow or gleam. Also const. of and on (light). b. To light up, brighten.(1) a1400 Leg. S. xxviii. 314.
