Non-entré, -entrie, n. Also: -entree, -entra, -ay(e, -y(e, -enterie, -intree. [Entré, Entrie, Entra, Intré; also e.m.E. non-entry (1599) the fact of not entering.]

1. Failure to enter into possession of a property, and the feudal casualty consequent on this (Entré n. 5).a. The failure of an heir of lawful age to renew his predecessor's possession of landed property or other heritable right by having himself served heir and thereafter receiving investiture from his superior, having paid the necessary dues. b. The condition in which the property etc. was said to fall, lie, be etc. pending this. c.The feudal casualty of the superior's right to the rents and profits of the property pending the infeftment of the heir as vassal. d. plur.
