Perambule, Perambil(l, v. Also: perambull, peramble, perambal, -ambol. [L. perambulāre (Perambulat(e), also med. L. perambilare (12th c.), e.m.E. peramble (1539), perambul- (1630).] tr. To perambulate. a. To walk round (the perimeter of) a piece of land with a view to formally determining its boundaries; to walk along (a boundary) for the same purpose; to make perambulation of. b. To walk round or along, so as to inspect (a road). c. To walk over or about (a place).a. (a) 1485 Lag Chart. 53.
