Stomak, Stomach, Stomok, n. Also: stommak, stomake, stomac, stomack(e, sthomack, stomage, stomaghe, stommok, stomoke, stomock, stomoch, stoamock, stomeg, stomo, stammok. [ME and e.m.E. stomak (14th c.), stomake (Lydgate), stomacke (1513), stomache (1578), stomach (1607), OF estomaqe, stomac (11th c. and c1220 in Larousse), L. stomachus f. the Gk. (= orifice, opening).]
