Salvato(u)r, n. Also: -oure, -ore, -ur(e, salvitour. [ME and e.m.E. salvatour (a1400), 18th c. Eng. salvator (1707), late L. salvātor, agent-n. f. salvāre Save v.]In verse appar. always with the primary stress on the initial syllable.
