A-LEADEEN, phr. “a-leading,” used in Rxb. in special sense (see quot.). [ə′lidin]Rxb.(D) 1927 E. C. Smith Braid Haaick 14:
She hes um a-leadeen (= she possesses a complete influence over him; she has him in leading-strings).
