BAKE, n.2 A term used by boys for a share of anything, also fig.Ayr. 1823 Galt Entail xciii.:
I'll propose to him to undertake his claim upon an agreement for half the rent, in the event of success, and we can divide the bakes.
Ayr.8 1932:
When one had found or got something, esp. eatables, it was customary to claim it all by shouting “Nae halvers, nae bakes.”

[Prob. same as n.1 E.D.D. gives this word for Stf. = a child's term for a share in anything.]
