BE YE WAURE, v.phr. Be cautious. [bi ji wɑ:r]Abd. 1868 G. Macdonald R. Falconer I. xii.:
“Laddie,” she said, “be ye waure o' judgin' the Almichty.”

[Be, v. + adj. Waur (O.E. wær), cautious. The two were, as early as 1300, joined together in Mid.Eng. and in O.Sc. a.1400 in Leg. of the Saints (N.E.D.).]
