1. A young torsk fish, Brosmius brosme; “a young tusk” (Cai.1 1920, brumple, brumphle).Sh. 1877 G. Stewart Sh. Fireside Tales (1892) 14:
Da lazy man comes . . . ashore wi' . . . twa brumplicks.

2. “A small fish belonging to the genus blennius” (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), brumplek).
