FLAIPER, v., n.
I. v. To flutter; fig. to gad about in a showy manner. Ppl.adj. flaipering (Kcb.4 c.1900).Gall. 1824 MacTaggart Gallov. Encycl. 27:

II. n. A vain and foolish person who dresses in a manner unsuited to his or her station in life (Gall. 1824 MacTaggart Gallov. Encycl. 205; Kcb.4 c.1900).
