FOREHOUSE, n. = Foreland, 1. Also an outer apartment by which a house is entered; the but of a but-and-ben.Abd. 1748 Abd. Journal (9–16 Feb.):
A Large well-built strong House, consisting of three Stories and Garret, with a good Fore house, and other very convenient Office-houses.
