KNUDGE, n.2 Also nudge. A short, sturdy, thick-set person or animal (Dmf. 1825 Jam.; Abd. 1902 E.D.D. [of doubtful authenticity]). Hence knudgie, adj., short and thick-set (Jam.).Dmf. 1825 Jam.:
He's a perfect knudge.
