Sc. form of Eng. order.wm.Sc. 1985 Liz Lochhead Tartuffe 27:
... in oarder tae best speed our thrivance,
You two ignore each other, ...

Sc. usages:

1. In phr.: to tak an order o', wi, to take steps regarding, to deal with (Abd. 1964). Cf. obs. Eng. to take order, north. dial, take order with, id.Abd. 1871 W. Alexander Johnny Gibb viii., xliii.:
Ye'll jist tak' yer neeps there, an nae anither cheep oot o' the heids o' ye; or gin ye dinna, we'll ken fat wye to tak' an order o' ye. . . . We're nae accoontable gin we dinna tak' an order wi' them that's owergyaun the laws o' the land.

2. In pl.: one's necessaries or requirements, gear, paraphernalia, equipment, accoutrements, all that one needs for some purpose. Gen.Sc.Sc. 1787 J. Elphinston Propriety II. 119:
He maun hae a' his orders, or he'll mak a wark — a phrase; he must have everything in order, else he'll make a fuss.Ags. 1864 W. D. Latto T. Bodkin xxxv.:
