I. v. To leap over. Pa.t. owre-lap. See Leap.ne.Sc. 1884 D. Grant Lays 5:
Plish-plash the water skelpit in, Across the disty fleer, Owre-lap the troch.

II. n. The stream-tide at the change of the moon. Cf. Owerloup, n., 2.Abd. 1795 Session Papers, Leslie v. Fraser (29 March 1805) 96:
If one of the cavels be to succeed the other early of the Monday morning, there will be two cobles secured at the head shot; but that rarely happens, but at the over-leap.
