A new blawn plumrose in a hazle shaw.
Kcb. 1789 D. Davidson Seasons 1:
Hail, lovely Spring! thy bonny lyart face, And head wi' plumrocks deeked.

[Dissimilated variant of *prumrose. The -ock form may poss. be due to the influence of Gael., Ir. sobhrag, id.]
