BIGGERABLANDA, Beriblanda, n. “Bere and oats mixed and sown together” (Sh. 1914 Angus Gl.); “a mixture of barley and oats . . . A more modern form . . . is beriblanda” (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928)).
[From O.N. bygg, barley + hafri, oats + blanda, a mixture of two fluids. Big(g), n.2, q.v., has been replaced by bere, bear, in Sh. in more mod. times (Jak.). See Haver, oats.]
