Subdene, n. Also: subdeine, -den, -dane, -dean, sud(d)ene, sudan, sodene. [ME and e.m.E. sodene, southdene, sudene (all Piers Plowman), subdean (1643), OF sou(z)deien, soubdean (both OED), eccl.
