Teinding, vbl. n. Also: teindding, teining, teynding, teithing, tithing. [Teind v.] The action or fact of assessing or taking a tithe (from a crop or produce). b. pl. Produce owed as tithe. c. Tithing-man, ? one whose job it was to oversee the collection of tithes.(a) 1501 Acta Conc. III 26.
