Thekit, Theikit, Thickit, ppl. adj. Also: theik-, thack-, thecked, thikyt, thykit. [Late ME and e.m.E. thached (1467), thetched (a1548), thatchit (1606); Thek(e v.] Of a building, etc.: Roofed, covered over (with specified materials). Also proverb. and transf. 1533 Boece 429b.
