Voyding, vbl. n. Also: woiding, voding, wouding. [Late ME and e.m.E. voidyng (Destr. Troy), voydyng (a1425).] The action of emptying. a. Of persons or things from a place (Voyd v. 1 b). b. Discharging of filth, etc. (Voyd v. 4 b.) c. Annulling of (parliament). (Cf. Voyd v. 5.) d. attrib. With blok (Blok n.1 3). A pulley or crane ? for emptying a ship.a. 1494 Loutfut MS 4a.
