Barmkin, Barnkin, n. Also: barmkyn, -kyne, -king; barnekin, -kine, -kyn. [ME. barmeken (14th c.), barnekyn. of obscure origin, perh. an alteration of barbican.] A battlement or battlemented wall; a wall of defence.(a) 1460 Fam. Rose 135.
