Flicht, Flycht, n.2 Also: flychte, flichte, fleycht, flyht, flyght. [ME. flyght, flight, fliht (c. 1200), OE. flyht.] The act of fleeing from enemies or danger. Chiefly in the phrases tak (the) flicht, and put to (the) flicht.(1) c1420 Wynt. viii. 6571.
In fycht is mensk, and schame in flycht 1456 Hay I. 49/10.
