COURT-HOUSE, n. comb. A building in which courts of law are held. Given in some Eng. dicts., but quots. in N.E.D. after 1776 are Sc. Known to Bnff.2, Abd.2, Ags.17 1940.Sc. 1818 Scott H. Midlothian xxvii.:
