MULLACK, n. Also mullag. [′mʌl-] A knee-shaped piece of hard wood which reinforces the join of the stem or stern posts of a boat to the keel, and acts as a fender or protector which could be replaced when worn (Ork. 1929 Marw.). Also mullag span, id. (Cai.3 c.1850, Cai. 1963).
