RUSKOLD, v. Also rooskjuld (Jak.). In ppl.adj., of corn: burned in the kiln fire when drying. [′ruskɔɪld]Sh. 1904 E.D.D.:
Applied particularly to ‘Burstin'. Any neglect to keep turning would tend to burn the corn, when it would be said to be ‘rooskjuldid', i.e. burned brown.
