SNAKER, n. Also snaiker (Sc. 1824 Cornhill Mag. (Sept. 1932) 275). Sc. forms of Eng. sneaker, a small bowl of punch (Sc. 1729 W. Mackintosh Essay 230; Abd. 1768 in A. Ross Helenore (S.T.S.) 5). In Sc. also applied to a glass of brandy (Sc. 1821 Blackwood's Mag. (April) 60).
