Deme, Deym(e, v.1 Also: dem, deim(e, deem(e. [ME. deeme, deme, early demen, OE. déman. The p.t. and p.p. dempt are commonest in legal use.]

1. intr. To act as a judge; to give a judgement or legal decision; to pass sentence. a1400 Leg. S. ii. 152.
