Tothir, adj. (pron.). Also: tothire, -yr(e, -er, toyther, toher, thother, -ir(e, -yr, tuthir(e, -yr, -er, twthir, -er, tyther, tethyr, todir(e, -yr(e, -er, toddir, -er, touder, towdyr, tuder, -ir, twdar, tuddyr, -ar, tidder, teder. [ME and e.m.E. toðer (1250), toþer, toder, toiþer (all Cursor M.) toþire (Manning), tother (1382), earlier þet or þat other, the t being attached to other when þe became the general form of the definite article. See Tan(e pron. (adj.).
