WANWAUCHTIE, adj. See etym. note.Dmf. 1873 A. C. Gibson Folk Speech Cmb. 116, 205:
He that wadna roose them baith, Maun be a puir wanwauchtie body . . . He's unco wanwauchtie that scunners at whey.

[The authenticity of the word is somewhat suspect. The author derives it from Wan-, pref., + Waucht, a drink, but, if genuine, it is more prob. to be connected with wauchtie, weighty, s.v. Wecht, with the meaning of feeble, weak, unsubstantial.]
