Kinrik, n. Also: kyn-, ken- and -ric(k), -rik(k), -rike, -ryk(e, -ryc. [ME. kinrik (a 1300), -ric, kunerike, earlier kyn-, kune-, kineriche, OE. Cyneríce.In ME. appar. obsol. after the 14th c. (but kingrik(e, -rick survives into e.m.E.: see Kingrik). In Sc. the usual word, and much commoner than the synonymous Kingdom, until c 1530–60, but thereafter appar. obsolescent: see also Kingrik, which appar. coincides in its chronology, but occurs much less frequently.]
