Rek(e, Reik, n.1 Also: reike, reyk; reek(e; reak; reick; riek; ri(c)k(e. [Chiefly Sc. and north. Eng. North. ME and e.m.E. rek(e (Cursor M.), reek (c1400), OE réc (whence also ME reche (14th c.), rich (c1400), reech), ON reykr. Cf. OFris. rek, reek.]
