Rial(l, adj. (adv.) and n.1 Also: riale, ryall(e, ryal(e; ryell; riole, riol(l, ryoll; riaul; ryle; rayelle. [ME and obs. e.m.E. ryall noun (c1350), rial(e, also adv. (a1400–50), OF rial (OED), var. of reale Reall adj.1 or roial Royal(l adj. and n.]Freq. in post-positional use, esp. in common collocations.

A. adj.There is a possibility of ambiguity, not only between certain of the senses, but also between the two main sense-groups.
