Banjo. An iron frame for carrying a false clack.
2. The jib on the cutting end of a coalcutting machine, so called because it is shaped like a banjo (Lnk. 1950).
3. A kind of playing marble (Wgt. 1921 Glasgow Herald (7 Dec.) 10).
