Also: -wys-, -uis-, -eous-, -eus-, -ewous-, -ious-, -ous-, -ows-, -us-; -uus-, -wus-, -uous-; -wos-; rychttuis-, -ouis-; righteous-; richwis-, rychuis-; ryhtwis-; reychtcheous- and -lye. [ME and e.m.E. rihtwislice (a1225), rightwisli (Cursor M.), etc., e.m.E. also ryghtuously, righteously (both 1526), etc., OE riht-, ryhtwíslíce.]There is perh. some overlapping between the various senses.
