Wondir, Woundir, adv. Also: wonder, -ire, -yr(e, -our, -re, vondir, -er, wounder, -our, vounder, -ir, windir, -er, wundir. [ME and e.m.E. wunnderr (Orm), wnder (Layamon), wonder (Cursor M.), wondur (c1420).] As an intensifier, chiefly preceding an adjective: Very, extremely; exceedingly; wonderfully, wondrously.(a) 1375 Barb. i 323.
