(Tribill,) Trip(p)le, v. [Late ME and e.m.E. threpil (a1400-50), triple (1542), F. tripler, med. L. triplare.] tr. To triple, multiply by three, make three times more or greater. Chiefly p.p. Also absol.pres. 1615 Misc. Maitl. C. II 184.
